West Vancouver White Garage Door
West Vancouver · Residential · Entrance & Access
A white Hörmann Clima Tech 4400 sits quietly within a landscaped West Vancouver arrival, paired with a LiftMaster 6690L belt-drive opener. The project is documented from the finished exterior through the tracks, operator and full operating sequence.
01 · Architectural fit
Let the landscape stay in focus.
The garage sits at the end of a landscaped driveway. A white flush-panel finish keeps the recessed opening visually calm, allowing the planting, walls and approach to remain the focus.
The long horizontal section lines provide scale without adding unnecessary detail, allowing the architecture and mature hedging to remain the focus.
02 · Door system
Insulation behind a quiet elevation.
Hörmann describes the Clima Tech 4400 as a residential steel sectional door with 1½-inch, three-layer sections. Polyurethane insulation is bonded between galvanized-steel faces, with thermally broken tongue-and-groove joints.
Manufacturer-published model values include R-15.7, U-0.209 and air infiltration of 0.12 cfm/ft². These are product ratings, not a guarantee of whole-garage energy savings; perimeter seals, opening conditions, hardware and installation quality also affect the completed assembly.
03 · Connected operation
Quiet operation. Connected access.
The completed door is operated by a LiftMaster 6690L DC belt-drive opener. LiftMaster lists built-in battery backup, myQ connectivity, soft start and stop, motion-activated lighting, a 2,000-lumen LED light ring and an integrated 360-degree swivel camera.
Smart functions depend on compatible connectivity, account setup and current service availability. Electrical requirements, accessory compatibility and product suitability should be confirmed for each opening.
04 · Operating sequence
The mechanics disappear when the door closes.
The return sequence shows the sectional panels moving along the overhead tracks and back into the opening. Door sections, counterbalance hardware, track geometry, operator rail, reinforcement, safety sensors, headroom and side clearances all need to work together.
Once closed, the tracks and operator recede from view and the project returns to its architectural result: a quiet white surface with precise horizontal lines.
